BRISTOL, Tenn., Jan. 18, 2015 – Alumni of King University are invited to gather together
for an evening dinner cruise aboard the Volunteer Princess luxury yacht on the Tennessee
River in Knoxville, Tenn. The cruise will take place on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 6:30
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Boarding will begin at 6 p.m.
“We hosted this event a few years ago, and it was such a huge success we decided to
bring it back,” says Michael Webb, director of Alumni Relations at King University.
“I look forward to seeing many alumni on the Volunteer Princess on Feb. 20th. Attendees
will get to enjoy a scenic cruise with food and fellowship with other alumni. There
is no better way to spend a Saturday night than with fellow alumni on the Tennessee
Alumni will enjoy the sights at sounds of downtown Knoxville’s breathtaking riverfront
as they board the Volunteer Princess at 956 Volunteer Landing Lane in Knoxville. The
cruise will travel west down the Tennessee River under the bridges of Knoxville. Sights
along the route will include Neyland Stadium, Thompson Boling Arena, and the Sunsphere.
The cruise continues down river past the legendary "Body Farm" and into one of most
beautiful areas of Knoxville - Sequoyah Hills. From there the cruise continues down
river past the new UT golf course and around Looney Island.
The cost of the dinner cruise is only $20 per person with children under 10 $10 per
child. Dinner selections should be made when making reservations. Options include
bacon wrapped chicken, pork tenderloin, or salmon.
