King University Recognized for Online Learning Excellence

BRISTOL, Tenn., June 1, 2017 – (ACO), a leader in higher education information, resources and rankings has recognized King University for its excellence in online learning degree programs including Communication, Healthcare Administration, and Information Technology.

“We are pleased to be counted among the top-ranked online programs in the nation,” states Dr. Matt Roberts, Ed.D., vice president for Academic Affairs at King University. “This ranking serves as a reaffirmation of King’s commitment to academic excellence. Our historic motto, Ecclesiae et Litteris, For the Church and For Learning, indisputably describes the core ideals for which King was founded. These same ideals continue to be fostered today, and are fostered appropriately in modern academic curriculum such as health informatics”

“We wanted to honor the colleges and universities setting the bar for online learning,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and founder of “These schools are going above and beyond the industry standard to help make online education programs an excellent option and more affordable.”

Only public, not-for-profit institutions were eligible for the ranking. The primary data points used to identify the Best Online Colleges of 2017 include the following: regional accreditation, in-state tuition and fees, percent of full-time undergraduate students receiving institutional financial aid, number of online programs offered, and student-to-teacher ratio.
