King University Presidential Inauguration
Throughout its 150-year history, King has been home to an intentionally Christian community that cultivates thoughtful scholars, productive citizens and resourceful leaders. Join the faculty, staff, alumni and friends of King University as we honor and invest in this legacy through the inauguration of our 23rd president, Alexander W. Whitaker IV.
The ceremony will take place Friday, April 7, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church in Bristol, Tennessee. Those who have participated in King’s history and are interested in its future are welcome, and there is no charge to attend.
Carrying on King’s rich heritage of fostering exploration, initiative, integrity and leadership, President Whitaker is committed to incorporating rigorous academic discovery with Christian faith and practice, preparing students for lives of continuous learning and social responsibility.
