Our greatest duty as citizens in a democracy is exercising our right to vote. Lyndon
Johnson said, "This right to vote is the basic right without which all others are
meaningless. It gives people - people as individuals - control over their own destinies."
To help reverse the trend of voter apathy, King University is required by the Higher
Education Act Reauthorization (Oct. 1998) to distribute mail voter registration forms.
We strongly encourage all members of the King University community to not only register
to vote but to get to the polls.
The Tennessee voter registration form is available at http://www.tn.gov and the Virginia voter registration can be found at www.sbe.virginia.gov.
If you need more information about registering to vote, please stop by the Office
of Registration and Records or call Ext. 4738.
You may send your Tennessee voter registration form to: Sullivan County Election Commission 3258 Hwy. 126, Suite 103 Blountville, TN 37617
Sincerely,Jessica W. Swiney, Director of Registration and Records
