Admissions Requirements

Admission decisions reflect genuine concern for the applicants as well as for the integrity of King University.

Transfer Credit

Before graduating from King University, students will need to have completed 19 semester hours in the following disciplines:

English Composition 3 s.h.
U.S. History and/or Western Civilization 6 s.h.
Social Science (excluding History and Economics) 3 s.h.
College Mathematics 3 s.h.
Natural Science (with lab) 4 s.h.

Total Hours:

19 s.h.

Total semester hours required to earn a King University Bachelor degree: 124 (including core, major, and elective credits.) For questions concerning qualified transfer credit, please work with your Enrollment Counselor.

Students with 45-60 hours may apply for admission; however, they must meet with a King University academic counselor to develop a specific written plan to outline how they will complete the program within a reasonable amount of time after competing the required coursework at King University.  For questions concerning qualified credit, please work with your Enrollment Counselor.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the program, individuals must take the following steps:

  • Submit a completed application.
  • Pay the application fee of $25.
  • Submit official transcripts of all college level work from regionally accredited schools:
    • A minimum of a 2.2 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and
    • The equivalent of 60* semester hours or an Associate's degree. Students with less than a 2.2 grade point average may be considered and accepted on a conditional basis provided they are able to demonstrate a significant rationale for why they feel they will be successful in the King University program. 

NOTE: Students with 45 or more hours may apply for admission; however, they must communicate with a King University academic counselor to develop a specific written plan which will outline how they will complete the program within a reasonable amount of time after completing the required coursework at King University.
