A Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from King University will provide you with the
skills and expertise to connect research and knowledge gained in coursework to actual
classroom settings. You will be prepared to synthesize research and theory, as well
as practice and apply those skills to your teaching method. You will be trained to
interpret professional literature and to apply best practices in multiple and complex
situations in the classroom.
The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction is a hybrid program designed to accommodate
students who do not hold a teaching license. Students will work closely with an advisor
to create a customized course of study which includes the appropriate curriculum necessary
to earn teacher licensure. These additional classes are offered with a flexible schedule
that may allow students to complete their degree while holding a full-time job. The
M.Ed. program admits students who are seeking initial licensure in either elementary
or secondary education. Three starts are available each year - spring, summer, and
fall. The summer semester is entirely online. Contact your Enrollment Counselor for details.
