King University will host its annual King Scholar Summer Academy (KSSA) June 20-24.
This marks the 26th year for the popular week-long summer camp, which offers areas of study in science,
math, creative writing, theatre, and more.
“The King Scholar Summer Academy is a program designed to bring students to their
highest level of achievement in science, languages, and the arts in a fun learning
environment,” stated Dr. Sandra Sanders, KSSA program director. “The curriculum,
taught by King University education graduates and area educators, creatively develops
each student’s sense of scholarly inquiry and independent thinking. Every student
receives individual attention while studying history, art, science, and more.”
The program is offered for students of high interest and ability who have completed
grades three through six. Students will meet from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24
on the King University campus. The cost for the week-long program is $200, which
includes lunch in the Dining Hall, daily snacks, a summer academy t-shirt, a group
picture, and use of the recreation facilities.
