Assistant/Associate Professor of Business
King College, a private, comprehensive Christian college founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is accepting applications for faculty positions beginning Fall 2008 in the School of Business and Economics.
Qualifications: Candidates should hold an earned doctorate in a business discipline, ABD considered. Candidates who can teach in more than one of the following disciplines will be given preference: Healthcare Administration, Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, International Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Sport Management. These positions offer the opportunity to teach and advise students in our traditional, adult, and graduate degree programs. Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing
King College, a private, comprehensive Christian college founded in the Presbyterian tradition, invites applicants for full-time positions beginning in Fall 2008 to teach in the MSN and the RN-BSN programs. The position requires teaching and clinical assignments. The nursing program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field required. Licensure in TN/multistate and appropriate national certification as a clinical nurse specialist required for the masters CNS track. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary and benefit package. Part-time positions are also available.

Part-time Nursing Faculty
King College School of Nursing seeks faculty with experience in mental health nursing for part-time positions with clinical supervision of students in local area facilities. The positions require a two day per week commitment with daytime hours on Monday and Tuesday or Tuesday and Thursday assignments starting January 2006. Additional openings for part-time classroom teaching are available in the accelerated RN-BSN tract for registered nurses. All positions require a master’s degree in nursing. Preference will be given for previous teaching experience; a doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred. Open Staff Positions
Laboratory Coordinator
The King College Department of Biology is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Laboratory Coordinator Position.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences. Significant coursework in molecular biology, microbiology, histology and chemistry, as well as a working knowledge of microscopic and laboratory techniques (making solutions, using basic equipment, etc.) and Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (or other data analysis programs) are preferred. Significant hands-on laboratory experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized and willing to work with faculty and undergraduate students in numerous laboratory preparations. Additionally, the candidate would be expected to work with undergraduate biology tutors within the department.
Under direct supervision, this position will provide laboratory and administrative support for biology faculty. This is a part-time position (12 hours per week), with limited flexibility related to days and hours worked each week.
Salary is dependent upon education and previous experience.

Research Assistant I
King College is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Research Assistant I position.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree the biological sciences. Significant coursework in molecular biology, microbiology and chemistry, as well as a working knowledge of microscopic techniques, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (or other data analysis programs) are preferred. Hands-on laboratory experience is preferred, preferably related to cell culture and C. elegans techniques.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized and willing to work with undergraduate students pursuing a senior thesis in research for their biology degree.
Under direct supervision, this position will provide support for specified research projects funded by the NIH. In addition, this position will involve collecting, assessing and communicating data/results. This position will also assist in general laboratory operation and inventory.
This is a part-time position (20 hours per week), with some flexibility related to days and hours worked each week.

Director of Institutional Effectiveness
King College, a private, comprehensive college founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is inviting applications for a Director of Institutional Effectiveness to coordinate a comprehensive institutional effectiveness and assessment program involving academic and nonacademic units or departments. A significant responsibility of this position will be to train campus personnel in effective articulation of learning outcomes and associated assessment techniques and practices.
Requirements: a master's degree in a related field; demonstrated knowledge of assessment techniques; and strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools preferred. Head Men’s Volleyball Coach King College
invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Volleyball Coach. This position has full responsibility of maintaining a competitive team of high character and high academic achievement.
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and a minimum three years coaching experience. Experience playing or participating in this specific sport at the collegiate level is also preferred. The candidate must adhere to any King College policies and be knowledgeable in NAIA and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: coordinating all aspects of recruiting and recruiting correspondence, on-court coaching, off-season training, summer camps, scheduling, travel arrangements, etc. The candidate also must have excellent organizational skills, people skills and, proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Admissions Representative

The Office of Admissions has an opening for an Application Specialist. Primary responsibilities include processing and data entry of undergraduate admissions applications from the point of application through enrollment.
