The E.W. King Library has microfilm holdings for the Bristol Herald Courier from December 1, 1905 - December 31, 1996. The microfilm is available for public use when the library is open. If you are out of town or are unable to come in and use the microfilm for yourself, we do offer some basic research services for a minimal fee.
Please be aware that time and staff constraints prevent us from assisting in large or detailed requests. Please allow at least 4 weeks for us to respond to your request. We ask that you follow these guidelines when submitting a request:
We can only research obituaries for which you have a specific date.
Mail a request which includes the deceased's name, date of death, city of residence, and any other information that could help verify the obituary.
Copies of obituaries sent through the mail are $5.00 per item requested. Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope along with your request to:
