Citing Sources

In academic writing you will often use information and works by other people to support and augment your argument and to lend credibility to your writing.  Anytime you borrow another person's words or ideas, you should be especially careful to document and cite your sources so that you will avoid plagiarism.  The resources on this page will help you work with quotations and paraphrases and prepare your bibliography.  For more information see Student Guide to Avoiding Plagiarism.
