Halls and Facilities

King College has five residence halls. Women live in Parks Hall, Mitchell Hall, Lower Liston and Hyde Hall. The men’s residence hall is Liston Hall.

Hyde Hall

Hyde Hall
Hyde is the most recent residence hall addition to King College. Those living in Hyde are selected based on GPA, class standing, and personal commitment to upholding college policies. Hyde houses 33 women and offers semi-private bathrooms shared by four suitemates. It contains laundry facilities, a television lounge, fully equipped kitchen, and a formal lobby. Hyde is located behind Liston Hall with a great view of the lake below.

 

Liston HallListon Hall
Liston Hall is the men’s residence hall, housing approximately 185 students on the three upper floors. On the lowest level is a floor of suites for upperclassmen. Liston contains laundry facilities, two television lounges, a guest room, and a central lobby on the main ground floor. Liston is located directly beside Kline Gymnasium, and the lower level of suites opens on to a patio in front of Hyde Hall.

Lower Liston Hall
Lower Liston Hall houses approximately 50 women. It is located inside Liston Hall directly below the three men’s floors. Lower Liston is separated from the men’s halls by a series of alarmed doors, which are opened during weekly visitation times. This Lower Liston Hall features laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable television lounge.

Mitchell Hall

Mitchell Hall

Mitchell Hall is a townhouse-style residence hall for approximately 91 women located on the West Campus. With tennis courts, soccer fields, and the baseball field directly behind, and the new Student Center complex directly in front, Mitchell is located right in the heart of the most recent additions to the campus. Each Mitchell unit has laundry facilities, kitchen,  and a television lounge.. Residents of Mitchell Hall work together as a team to keep the suites and the bathrooms clean.

Parks HallParks Hall
Parks Hall, located on the oval across from the E.W. King Library, houses approximately 95 women. It features a formal parlor, a comfortable casual lobby with a big screen television used by many student groups, as well as kitchenettes, laundry facilities, and a guest room.

 

 

 

Residence Hall Facilities

Computer Access
Each residence hall room has jacks that provide access to the campus computer network, KINGnet via Ethernet. For more information on campus computing, visit http://www.king.edu/experienceking/Technology.

Kitchens
Kitchens are available for use to residents living in Lower Liston, Mitchell, Parks, and Hyde.

Laundry Rooms
The laundry facilities are equipped with coin operated washers and dryers in all residence halls.

Lounges
Residence halls are furnished with television, study, and sitting lounges.

Storage Areas
Parks, Mitchell, Liston, Lower Liston and Hyde have their own storage areas for students to place suitcases, boxes or other personal belongings. These storage units are a real benefit during the summer and between semester and on breaks.

Vacuums
Vacuum cleaners are available in each residence hall.
