Required Coursework
General Education Requirements
All Math and Computer Science majors are required to complete the King
College Core Curriculum as specified in this catalogue; however, the
Quantitative Thinking requirement must be satisfied by taking 2 semester hours
of MATH 2350 (Calculus I) for a total of 51 semester hours.
Teacher Education Requirements
Tennessee teaching licensure (Grades 7-12) is available with modifications to
the Biology major and the King College core, and successful completion of the
Secondary Education minor. Declaration of the minor and early and frequent
advisement is essential to timely completion of degree and licensure
requirements. See page 86 in the current catalogue or contact the Administrative
Assistant in the School of Education for eligibility criteria, admissions
procedures, and timeliness.
