Annual Fund for Scholarships & Programs

The Annual Fund for Scholarships & Programs supplements other income provided by tuition, fees, and endowment.  Monies from the Annual Fund relieve the burden on these other sources of funding and provide ongoing, flexible income to meet the needs of the College. 

The Annual Fund is a central source for direct scholarship assistance to hundreds of King College students.  This fund has been instrumental in attracting thousands of bright and deserving students for several decades. 

Additionally, the Annual Fund for Scholarships & Programs provides income to support existing programs and create new programs.  For example, these monies helped King create programs such as the Quest for Significance , the Jack Snider Honors Center, and the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE). 

Finally, the Annual Fund also helps to attract and retain top-level faculty, and to maintain classrooms, residence halls, and the campus’s 135 beautiful acres.

Making a gift to the Annual Fund for Scholarships & Programs not only supports King, it is also an endorsement of the College’s mission because success in the Annual Fund is a significant determinant of success in other areas for King.  Many foundations and grant making organizations consider the size of the Fund and the percentage of alumni and friend giving as a measure of King’s stability and worthiness of financial gifts.  College guidebooks and rankings, such as U.S. News & World Report, also look at support of the Annual Fund as an indicator of alumni satisfaction. 

Thus, the stronger the Annual Fund, the better equipped the College is to provide a quality, competitive educational environment.
